Speakers are:
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD – Minister of State at the Department of Finance with responsibility for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance. She is the Fine Gael TD for Dún Laoghaire. Prior to her appointment to the Department of Finance, Minister Carroll MacNeill was a member of a number of Parliamentary Committees including the Public Accounts Committee, the Justice Committee and the Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement. She was also a representative on the British Irish Parliamentary Assembly
Minister Carroll MacNeill is a qualified Solicitor and Barrister, holding a PhD in public policy, with over a decade of experience working in a range of government departments on policy and legislation prior to her election as a TD.
Mr James Corbett – is Managing Director of Simvirtua Ltd., a Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality Consultancy guiding enterprise and industry on the adoption of Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality. James is also a director of Eimersive – The Voice of the Immersive Sector in Ireland.
Ms Camille Donegan is a Virtual Reality consultant and content producer in a career spanning both technology and the arts. She is also director of Eirmersive. Camille’s work with Eirmersive has seen her run workshops along the Atlantic corridor on a Creative Ireland funded initiative called IMMERSE which aims to build awareness and discover data around XR adoption from both creative companies and industry.
The discussion will cover what policymakers need to know in order to establish policies that promote growth and innovation. We will gather key stakeholders operating in this immersive technology space to discuss and highlight these important issues. The event will be moderated by Maria Flannery, Partner KPMG and BlockW
