A glance at the speaker list for the European Blockchain Convention 2023, from 15-17 February in Barcelona for which Blockchain Ireland is a proud to partner, reveals a host of financial institutions.

The likes of the London Stock Exchange, Banco Santander, JPMorgan Chase, Société Générale Securities Services, and Scotiabank are joined by that venerable publication, Financial Times.

If ever there was an indication that blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLT) are being taken seriously by traditional finance (TradFi) organisations, then this is it.

Joining a broad array of speakers from academia, public and government services, as well as enterprise CEOs, start-ups and entrepreneurs, the TradFi cohort will explore the developments in the sector, across topics such as institutional access to DeFi, issuance of digital assets, tokenisation, exchanges, custody and wallets, infrastructure for institutional crypto adoption, stablecoins, CBDCs, crypto derivatives, fundraising & investing, and scaling, infrastructure and security.

Financial Speakers:

  • Dotun Rominiyi, Director of Emerging Technology, London Stock Exchange
  • M. Concepcion de Monteverde, Blockchain Center of Excellence Director, Banco Santander
  • Emma Lovett, Markets DLT – Credit Lead, JPMorgan Chase
  • Laurent Marochini, Head of Innovation, Société Générale Securities Services
  • Emma Landriault, Blockchain & Digital Asset Product Lead, Scotiabank
  • Jemima Kelly, Columnist, Financial Times
