Blockchain Ireland was delighted to meet Minister of State at the Department of Finance, Dr Jennifer Carroll MacNeill for further discussions, having submitted its blockchain, crypto, and Web3 strategy to government in 2022.

Blockchain Ireland was represented by chair, Dave Feenan, and co-founder Lory Kehoe.

Focusing on making Ireland a friendly and welcoming place for start-ups and companies in the space, discussions ranged across supports, investments, policies, and regulation for the ecosystem.

Minister Carroll MacNeill will be a highlight speaker at Blockchain Ireland Week 2023, where she is expected to share an update on how Blockchain Ireland and the Minister will be working closely together on this important area over the coming months.

Blockchain Ireland welcomes this dialogue and cooperation, and the broad recognition of the blockchain, crypto, and Web3 space as a key area of opportunity for Ireland, which already boasts an ecosystem of more than 50 indigenous companies.
