Based on reports that over the first half of the year alone, venture capitalists have invested some $17 billion (€14.5 billion) into various crypto-related start-ups and companies since the start of the year, cryptocurrency journalist and analyst for Coin Telegraph, Shiraz Jagati looks to understand the nature of the market.
The analyst starts by putting that $17 billion figure on context, by stating that it is by far the largest investment witnessed in any single year and is almost equal to the total amount raised in all previous years.
Speaking to various experts across the industry, such as crypto-exchanges, Jagati reports the opinion that early-stage investors in cryptocurrency, having already achieved profitability, now have “a deep understanding of the development rules of the market” that is enabling them to invest further despite market fluctuations.
