As world continues to deal with the global pandemic, hybrid events are emerging in various places as a means to test the water and suit the needs of differing audiences.

September is traditionally a busy month in the tech world, as events and conferences get into full swing.

Here is a small, by no means definitive, list of blockchain and related events over the coming weeks to mark in your diary.

Blockchain Expo – Global

6-7 September 2021

The fifth annual global version of the Blockchain Expo series returns to London at the Business Design Centre on 6-7 September 2021 and virtually on 13-15 September.

Organisers say it will bring together key industries from across the globe for two days of top-level content and discussion across 4 co-located events covering Blockchain, IoT, Cyber Security & Cloud, AI and Big data.

Some 5,000 attendees are expected to congregate for the event including CTO’s, Heads of Innovation and Technology, IT Directors, Developers, Start-Up’s, OEM’s, Government, Automotive, Operators, Technology Providers, Investors, VCs and many more.

The Blockchain Expo, say the organisers, will showcase the most cutting-edge technologies from more than 125 exhibitors and provide insight from over 100 speakers sharing their unparalleled industry knowledge and real-life experiences. The Blockchain conference agenda will present a series of expert keynotes, interactive panel discussions and solution-based case studies. All exploring the key industries that are set to be disrupted the most by this new technology, including; legal sectors, retail, financial services, healthcare, insurance, energy, music, government, real estate and more.

European Blockchain Week

20-24 September

Ljubljana, Slovenia

As part of its framework of Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Slovenia is convening European Blockchain Week 2021 (hybrid edition) from 20-24 September in Ljubljana.

With an overarching theme of “Blockchain and AI for European Green Deal”, the event is a guide to the various opportunities technologies can provide on the way to achieve more competitive and resilient economy, while enabling better quality of jobs and lives of the society.

“In the light of COVID-19 pandemic, The European Green deal is the foundation of Europe response built around green transition with governments, businesses and societies with focus to the recovery. EBCW2021 has an ambition to showcase the contribution of Blockchain and AI to European Green and Digital transition,” say the organisers.

A number of panels will discuss topics such as: Blockchain and AI for Climate Change; Blockchain & AI for Circular Economy; Blockchain and AI for Renewable Energy; Blockchain and AI for SDGs; and Sustainable blockchain infrastructures.
